Christmas is Coming.....

Yes - I have Christmas music playing this morning....I just love it.  It soothes me through the sometimes stress that the busyness can cause.

We would love to help you with your Holiday shopping (or your husband maybe????).  Would love to make you or a friend a personalized coupon binder so come January they can begin the process of getting organized and saving money.  Would love to make you an apron personalized with your monogram or perhaps "Jesus is the Reason for the Season".....or whatever else you might like.  We have little wallets/bags that we call wristlets that are a great gift to put a gift card in and hang on the tree or on a present.  Also have the cutest little doggie sweaters you've ever seen.  Visit our facebook page for various albums or look through this blog page.

Be Blessed!
Love,
Karen & Janet

Trust in the Lord....

Was able to get this tote done today for a dear friend who is retiring that i've worked with for quite a while.  Hope she likes it.
Next I'm going to try this......

Cute bag pattern out of this fabric.

I think it will be cute!  It's a navy & khaki color.....except I think it is screaming for some yellow.  Maybe on the bow?  It's a reversable purse and is sew cute!  Will post (if I like it!)

Totally Totes.....

Working on a few things as we start gearing up for the Fall and Christmas Season Craft shows.  Today's project was the perfect "tote".  Love how this turned out but will move the lettering up a bit and shorten the netting on the next one.  All in all I think it's a "keeper".

Fruity Fun....

Another fun fruity Binder that will be available this weekend at CHKD.

Oh, and I forgot to show you something Soooo cute that I made for a recent baby shower.  One of my best friends is soon going to be a grandma and me and my besties gave her daughter-in-law a baby shower.  My friends are so talented when it comes to decorating but I was pleased to be able to contribute some myself.  I made this banner for baby Elijah and after the shower Laura was able to take it home and put in his room.  I loved how it turned out. I am going to make my new grandbaby Wyatt one to hang on the hospital door when he is born.  :)

Be Blessed!

This Saturday......

The most wonderful week of the year.....

Recovering from vacation this week and haven't been able to muster up a lot of energy to be productive.  Each summer for one week in July I get to spend a week with some of my favorite people.  This year was different because we had one, two, THREE grand babies in the mix.  So much fun to have little one's around. Us five families have been going to the beach together for 19 years.  Hard to believe that our kids are almost all grown.  Here they are with the exception of Jake and Laura.  They are a great group of kids and I love them all!!! There is at least one "bun in the oven" but maybe more???  We are already in the process of making new arrangements next year because we have outgrown the cottage we normally visit.  What a blessing!

Worked on a few projects before I went away and working on some new things this week.  Made my Dylan and new beach towel to match the one's I made Ella and Clara a while back.  Also made pillowcases for my sisterfriends.  Something I started a few years back and wanted them to have new "fishy" pillows this year. And tennis towels for a friend's tennis team.

Read an interesting book on vacation, Dave Ramsey's Complete Money Makeover.  Wish I had read this about 20 years ago and would recommend it to anyone.  Made hubby read it too and he agrees that we need to follow his guidance.  If you have read it and followed it's principals, I would love to hear about it.

Can't believe August begins in a few days and that in two weeks I'll be taking my son 3 1/2 hours away and leaving him at college.  Oh I'm sure you'll be hearing about that in the coming days.

Working on something new this week and I'm excited about it.  Will be certain to post a picture soon.  Also some coupon binders, beach towels and pillowcases.

Have a great rest of July!

Today is about blessings.....

Today is about Clara Fae Curling, born at 9:02 AM this morning.

Clara is the 2nd grandaughter of my best friend since 5th Grade, Sue.  Here is a picture of me and Sue at our High School graduation....

Clara is the daughter of Sue's Daughter, Devyn.....who is my daughter Ashley's best friend since basically birth.  Here they are both pregnant with their 2nd babies.

Baby Wyatt is growing in Ashley's tummy as we speak.

Dylan and Ella are Ashley & Devyn's first babies.

I pray they are best friends for life. Thank you Lord for special friendships!

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down  together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Handmade Gift Exchange....

One of the fun blogs that I follow is Linda at craftaholics anonymous.  She does such fun things and I love to see what she is up to.  Recently she posted a link to join a Crafters Handmade Gift Exchange and I decided to participate.  I received my buddy - Sally from Iowa.  We have emailed get to know you's back and forth and I sent her gift off to her this week.  It has been a fun way to get to know some new people and another way to see what the crafting world is up to.  Thanks to Linda for organizing this event twice a year.  She will do another one around Christmas I believe.  I'll let you know when my surprise arrives in the mail and share what Sally sends me.

A few more things I've made recently....

Beach towels for Ella & Clara (If Clara will ever come out of that comfy tummy she is in!)

And a dress for Kassie's daughter.  Kassie is the oh so talented Designs by Kassie that designed my logo and Blog page.  She is great.
Have a safe, blessed 4th of July!

Ahhhh Summer!

I just love summer.  I love the laziness of it, staying up late, sleeping in a little later, NO school lunches, VaCaTiOn!, fresh veggies, cook outs, flip flops, Strawberry Lemonade smoothies, Bethany home with me every day, oh and did I mention Vacation???  Why do you love summer?

Here are a few things I made this week.  This is a cross-body bag I made for my friend Karen.  The next picture is a bunch of the coupon binder fronts and wristlets, and the last is also a wristlet that I made out of a recyled skirt from a local Christian school.  Isn't that cute?  I just need more girls to outgrow their skirts so I can get more fabric to make some more.  :)
